[personal profile] thenostalgicmod posting in [community profile] multifandomhorrorexchange
Creators have been revealed. Thank you again to everyone involved. I had a lot of fun seeing this come to life, and I really hope you enjoyed it, too!

If you haven't yet re-dated your works, there is more information below the cut about why and how you can do so.

Since the collection was unrevealed, there are many works that were posted/published to AO3 earlier (prior to the work reveals date). But, when AO3 sorts works (for general users to find), its default mode is to sort by date, such that the most recently posted/published works appear at the top of the search queue. As a result, if there is a work in the collection that was posted/published to AO3 a month ago (for example), other users may not find it easily because it will be 'buried beneath' all the newer works that have been posted since.

To make it easier for other users to find the works you've posted to the collection, you can click on the work, select "Edit" in the top right corner, go to the "Associations" field, and then select the current date at the "Set a different publication date" checkbox. And then post the work again, just using the regular "Post" button at the very bottom right corner.

A pie chart...

This is a very unscientific pie chart in case anyone was curious about the representation of the horror type tags in this year's collection. The tags were noted from the works as they were submitted to the collection. (If a work wasn't tagged, I skimmed it and selected the one I thought most fitting. If a work had multiple tags, they were all noted.)

All goes as expected, the exchange will be back around the same time next year. Hope to see you again, and many thanks for making this year's collection possible!

Thank you for this exchange! I absolutely loved it, I liked how we had the different types of horror subgenres to pick and choose from, and honestly anything that encourages more horror fic is A+ to me! 10/10 would definitely participate again!

Interesting pie chart! I really expected more sci-fi and violent horror, but I'm loving all of the horror representation!
