A few friendly notes & reminders as you begin

Important Dates:
- The times for all dates listed below are 8:30pm EDT.
- Assignments are due on July 16. They must be completed and published (not drafts) at this time.
- Please review the Sticky: Schedule & Rules (Assignments) post as you begin creating. If there are questions, please send an email to implodinglittlehearts@gmail.com.
- AO3 allows edits after a work has been posted. However, the assignment must still be a complete work meeting minimum requirements by the due date of July 16. Further edits can then be made until works are revealed on July 23.
- Gifts will remain unrevealed until July 23. This means they will show up as a Mystery Work on AO3. Gifts will be revealed on July 23. Then, they will remain anonymous until July 30. At this time, gift creators will be revealed.
- Please refrain from posting your work to another site, or from discussing it such that you may be revealed or hinted as the creator (Betas excluded and encouraged) until July 30.
- Similarly, if you have any questions about your assignment, such as pertaining to the recipient's DNWs, please send them to the mod to maintain anonymity. The mod will relay the recipient's answers back to you.
Minimum Requirements:
- Participants will create one work based on a request that they are assigned.
- Minimum requirements for gifts are either standalone fanfiction of at least 1k words, or completed fanart on unlined paper, of good resolution, that does not use elements from other pieces or manips.
- The gift must match the medium, fandom, and relationship (and horror type!) of the request.
- The trope guidelines for horror types will be as discussed in the Horror Type Tag Descriptions post. If your recipient describes an Opt-In Horror Type, then you may create for that instead of the Horror Type Tag that was matched on.
- If the medium you match on is fic or art Emphasizing Sexual Content, then the work you create must contain sexual content that would be considered either M- or E-rated in such a manner that the sexual content ties into the horror type tag being used in some way. The work may also be rated M or E for other reasons, depending on the creator and the recipient's DNWs.
- If the medium you match on is fic or art Not Emphasizing Sexual Content, then the work you create must not contain sexual content that would be considered higher than T-rated. The work may still be rated M or E for other reasons, depending on the creator and the recipient's DNWs.
- Other than the above, there are no restrictions concerning rating.
- Any DNWs in the AO3 sign-up box must be respected. No exceptions. That said, DNWs used to box in the creator or overly vague DNWs cannot be enforced.
About Optional Details:
- Any optional details, either in the AO3 sign-up box or in letters, are not enforceable. Only the minimum requirements, as stated above, and appropriate DNWs in the AO3 sign-up box can be enforced.
- That being said, please try your best to create something you think your recipient will enjoy.
Tagging For Original Works:
- If the work you are creating is for either "Original Work: Solo Human Character | Human Ships" or "Original Work: Solo Nonhuman Character | 1+ Nonhuman Characters in Ships", please just submit it under the AO3 Fandom "Original Works" when adding your work to the collection.
- Please include the exact relationship that you matched on (copy-pasted from the tagset or your recipient's request-box) under the AO3 "Relationships" slot in the new-work form.
- However, the categorical items in parentheses can be excluded from the relationship tag! For example, if the relationship tag you're creating for is called "(F/M) Suspected Serial Killer/Man Who May or May Not Be Her Next Intended Victim (OWH)" in the tagset, then the relationship tag in your work can just be "Suspected Serial Killer/Man Who May or May Not Be Her Next Intended Victim".
- The category of the relationship can be then selected from the AO3 "Categories" checklist in the new-work form.
- These are tagging suggestions only, not at all rules.
Tagging For Horror Types:
- When first publishing your work to the collection, please include the Horror Type Tag(s) that your work focuses on under the AO3 "Additional Tags" in the new-work form.
- If, for any reason, you'd rather not have that tag on the work permanently, feel free to remove it 3 days after submitting the work to the collection. By that point, it will have been noted.
- This is not at all a rule, but would be greatly appreciated.
