- More information about requests, offers, and matching here.
To clarify:
- "Original Work: Solo Human Character | Human Ships" and "Original Work: Solo Nonhuman Character | 1+ Nonhuman Characters in Ships" do count as separate (unique) fandoms. They can be found under Uncategorized Fandoms in the tagset.
- Fandom repeats are allowed as long as there are at least 3 unique fandoms requested, and 4 unique fandoms offered.
New for 2021:
- Participants can request "Opt-In" Horror Types in addition to the Horror Type tags that are in the tagset. These Opt-Ins cannot be matched on. However, if named and described in optional details, a creator could choose to create based on the Opt-In instead of the tagset Horror Type.
- For example, if somebody opted-in to XYZ Horror by saying so and briefly described their interpretation of XYZ Horror (citing sources such as TV Tropes is welcome), then their assigned creator could create for XYZ Horror instead of the tagset Horror Type they matched on. My hope is that this can allow transparent flexibility to accommodate niches that may not be adequately represented by the more general Horror Types in the tagset.

Date: 2021-05-19 09:16 pm (UTC)The short answer is that you can DNW "unhappy endings" and explain what kind of endings you like in optional details. DNW "unhappy endings" or DNW "bleak endings" would be an enforceable DNW.
However, in the spirit of the exchange and to make things more straightforward for your creator, I would gently suggest explaining in the optional details where that line lies. E.g. are you okay with an ambiguous or open ending? NB: A DNW in the style of "DNW anything but a happy ending" wouldn't be enforceable, as it would be considered railroading the creator. However, you'd be welcome to elaborate on what kind of ending you like in the optional details part of the sign up.
I hope this answered the question, please let me know if there is anything else I can help clarify.
